Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Patients typically have a lot of questions when it comes to physical therapy. Well we have answers!
Below we have listed our frequently asked questions to give you some answers! However, If you can’t find what you are looking for feel free to ask us a question yourself!
What insurance companies are you in network with?
We are in network with AETNA, blue cross blue shield, medicare part B, workers
compensation. We also have cash pricing for those out of network.
What is different about Direct Physiotherapy?
How many times have you heard patients complain about receiving a funny colored
theraband, a few instructions from a PT, and then ice and stim on your way out as you
were juggled with other patients during YOUR treatment time? That is NOT patient-
centered care. At Direct Physiotherapy, we strive to change the way you view and
receive physical therapy. Here, you will receive 1 on 1 physical therapy with the same
Doctor of Physical Therapy that you see day 1. You will not be shared with other
patients or other providers/assistants.
Do I need to be referred from a physician before I can see a Physical Therapist?
You only need a script if you have Medicare. Otherwise, you can come see us directly and we can treat you for up to 30 days or 10 visits whichever comes first.
Where is the entrance?!

Do you do “adjustments?”
As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, we are unable to use the term, “adjustment” as
Chiropractors do. We describe manipulation as “grade V mobilization” which is very
similar to the way Chiropractors describe their terminology. Our idea is not to re-align
bones but rather to help stiff joints simply move better.
What should I wear?
Gym type clothing with accessibility to the area to be treated.
Where can I park?
Parking is easiest in the back parking lot (see picture on website for easy navigation or
call). You may also take the elevator up to the 2nd floor from the front of the building.
How long will my appointment be?
The first appointment will be closer to 90 minutes. Please prepared added time for an
in-depth conversation on the problems effecting you. Every other session is typically around an hour.
It is important for us to identify patient questions and concerns. We invite you to reach out to us for any uncertainty you may have.
